Try fasting 2 or 3 days a week. I did once just for the hell of it and lost 13-lbs the first week. Couldn't keep it up though, it was too hard to fight a 30 year habit of overeating to the point of being 50-100% overweight. Duhhh! Besides it was just an experimental lark, so no compulsion to stick with it. It requires extraordinay motivation to stick to a regime like that, and needs a vigorous physical activity component to work well, and a very proper diet on non-fasting days. You probably will also require a vitamin/mineral supplement of some find, too. But FIRST, see a physician before you start any kind of weight loss regime. The cost of a pre-diet visit is always less than the cost of post-diet repair visits.
