I think their bet is a bit too drastic.

First, yours:

<US rates will rise and the USD will rise, stocks will fall>

The dollar strong, and with US stocks cheap, investors will be fooled. They might even come back to the US market. but it won't work, the economy is too weak.

Then, they'll try to juice the economy one more time, home equity loans will be cheaper than ever, refi will come back, companies printing credit cards offers will turn their founders into instant multi millionaires, because they are the metaphorical helicopters Bernanke will use.

I think they'll take one more crack at printing the money they need.
