Why the favoritism? Greenhouse claims co-workers told her it was for unspecified "political reasons."

Political reasons... is an insult to people's intelligence.

If military did it ,, i assume to expedite the contract process and start support going to troops etc. Perhaps military didn't have faith in our companies to do the over complex jobs, know how to process associated papers, or they were lazy in going out to bid... Political is an over used word.
