RANDOM THOUGHT [10/29 05:01 PM]
How lame and inconsequential does the ABC terror tape look now?
KNOCKING ON WOOD [10/29 04:45 PM]
Gerry Daly:
I look at it as very good news for America. Al Qaeda wanted to influence the Spanish elections, and did so by bombing and mass murder.
Now they want to influence our elections. They did so by releasing a tape.
They would have hit us if they could.
LATEST UPDATE FROM KEN BLACKWELL [10/29 04:25 PM]
Ken Blackwell, secretary of state of Ohio, appearing on NRANews.com:
I have two primary responsibilities - one is make voting as easy as practical and possibility. My other responsibility is to protect the integrity of the voting system against fraud. Every time you let a counterfeit vote in, it devalues a real vote.
We’ve had registration forms from Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and you name it.
We’ve had a tremendous registration drive here in Ohio, probably 800,000 new registered voters. That means many more first-time voters than in previous presidential elections.
I had Jesse Jackson fly into this state to whip up havoc, ranting and raving that I was disenfranchising people by following Ohio law. This is so disingenuous because Harlem, New York has same provisions and laws, Washington D.C., Boston, Massachusetts and Dallas, Texas have the same provisions and laws.
Elections are won or lost on Election Day. The only thing that can skew that is wholesale fraud.
We have provisional balloting in Ohio for a long time. Bipartisan oversight board - equal number of Dems and Reps at the polling place. They can question any questionable voter.
Some of those registrations are duplicates. The motor-voter law says you can’t purge your files of deceased, of folks who have moved, sometimes for up to eight years.
It’s so important that people vote in their assigned precincts in Ohio. That’s
We are perhaps the premiere battleground state - no Rep win or retain without carrying if Pres did it this time would be first. We are coming under enormous scrutiny. It is a veteran election force. 45,000 poll workers in 88 counties. A mean age 67 years old. The last thing you want are roving bands of attorneys screaming at 71 year old poll workers. I think we’re ready. The citizens could not help but be a little tentative because of all the attention we’re getting.
We have a very comprehensive voter education program. Make clear to folks where they’re supposed to vote, and how the machines work.
Cam Edwards, host of NRANews.com, mentions that “Operation Clark Country” has been shut down by the London Guardian.
Blackwell laughs. "That liberal rag. I have no problem with what they did — their exercise proved two things. It proved the liberal left will go to great extent, and has a global effort. It also proved the common sense of the people of Clark County, when they told them to go fly a kite. And it reminded them the last time the British got involved like this, it ignited a revolution."
RENDELL RUNNING GET-OUT-THE-VOTE EFFORT IN PENNSYLVANIA PRISONS? [10/29 03:53 PM]
Rep Curt Weldon, R-Pennsylvania, appearing on NRANews.com:
We have won first battle. The Governor finally relented allowed at least a 10 day extension for absentee ballots. We think it may take more, but 10 days better than none. The governor took the a brochure to every prison warden in the state had to allow absentee ballots. This is the same governor didn’t want extension for our troops, but he wants to get out the vote in the prisons.
They system of weeding out ineligible voters was to ask the prisoners!
Weldon seeking federal injunctive lawsuit against these ballots, and seeking federal investigation.
Chances of resolving this are almost nil. They have been working on this for weeks, but we just got word of this last night.
No way it gets caught at local level - the listed address is their home address, not the prison, Weldon said. |
