Cheney and Bush Sr. supported deep cuts in intel and defense spending after the Cold War. In fact nearly everyone did. Those same votes are the ones Bush is dishonestly using in his attack ads to make Kerry apper "weak" on defense. If you buy that crap you are a real sucker. Just yesterday Bush lied that JK voted against 23 weapons systems, but didn't tell his sucker audience that Kerry also voted FOR the same weapons systems. In the Senate everyone does this. They're called versions of the same bill which are rejected until they are gotten right. Usually they need pork barrel spending trimmed out first.
