"Election Canvassing Permitted ACLU attorneys representing a labor organization have secured agreements from two municipalities to permit door-to-door canvassing without complying with the municipalities’ registration requirements. As we reported yesterday, the ACLU had argued that the registration requirements were unconstitutional. The agreements reached yesterday have not resolved the constitutional challenge, which the federal court will continue to consider after the election, but do permit election canvassing to occur this weekend."
