The mining sector has been terrible this year. Ashton has an opportunity to lead the diamond sector out of the bearish trend. A fair amount of cash is on the sidelines, and its a matter of time for a fraction of the dollars to hit spec stocks. Unless, there is a large surprise with the remaining BULK results, Ashton will be ignited. The markets are currently ignored the reported results from renard 65 and renard 4. According to Ashton, they are inline with the objective of extracting a parcel of 300 carats. However, the first two pipes, reported results below 50 cpht. The next two, imo, will be higher. Specfically renard 3, should be over 1 ct\ton.. The challenge Ashton faces is to prove to lurkers that tonnage will not be an issue. The Lynx anomoly will eventually add to the total tonnage. Valuations are expected on the three hundred cts in early 2005. Fr speculators, this may be a time to consider wetting your feet.
