Robert; Low margin giveaways are one way to get the child and keep him for life. I will check at the U ofT computer store and see what is what. Toronto is the north american center for Wintels. They are cheaper here that in LA or San Francisco(3% duty, no FCC regs and huge Chinese community). The computer centers tend to sell the name brands which are 25- 50% more than Wintels, as they can make a buck. A lot of students buy generic Wintels at U of T, more than either Apples or first tier Wintels.
