Well what do ya know? My overseas BALLOT showed up in the mail this morning, so I do get to vote!!
Let see. Eeni, meenie, miney.......
Say you are from OH, or FLA or PA.
No, I'm from California, and they way the overseas ballot is set up I have to purger myself to vote. This is ridiculous!
It says on the outside envelope the following: "DO NOT RETURN UNLESS YOU COMPLETE THIS AND SIGN YOUR NAME"
I (print your name, print your residential address), SAN FRANCISCO
declare under penalty of perjury that I am a resident of the precinct of San Francisco, and then some other stuff.
Well, I'm NOT a resident of San Francisco, that's just the last place in the US where I was registered to vote. The envelope is even market with an OVERSEAS FED-PERM stamp, which I think means they realize I am an overseas resident, not an absentee voter.
So how the hell am I supposed to fill this out without claiming (under penalty of perjury) that I am a resident of San Francisco?
And since I'm not in the mood to perjure myself, I guess I'm not voting this year. |
