Where is the evidence that private charities do better than the government? Who says it isn't part of the US to reallocate resources? We have done this all throughout history as it is one major difference between a monarchy and a republic.

Without mobility of wealth (i.e. with heavy concentration of wealth in a few hands), the US does not survive. Is your thinking really this simplistic?

If you don't like paying your share of a progress tax, then get off the grid. Stop using the government's mail, the government's roads, the government's clean water and clean food, the government's internet, the government's defense, the government's sidewalks and property protections, the government's schools and universities, the government's grants, etc. etc.

Don't you get it? The power of humans to ORGANIZE and be COLLECTIVE and PROGRESS TOGETHER is what differentiates us from the other species. The government is US.
