That's one of Bush's problems. He needs to be 2 or 3% ahead going into this election to win. Why? Because, the Dems are underpolled. That's why Gore made it so close in 2000, despite being 3-5% behind in the days leading up to the election. Now with President Bush even to 2% behind, that's a horrible place to be at this late stage in the election. Kerry will only pick up late support being a Democrat and a challenger. Kerry 51%, Bush 48%, Others 1%.
