You're just spinning your opinion. Where is your proof? Give a one-for-one comparison between private charity and government.

It's ridiculous for people to have to depend on the kind heartedness or guilt of others. As citizens, everyone is deserving and, heck, ENTITLED to basic services and basic safety nets. That's the privilege of being a citizen.

BTW, if you're so much for private charities, why don't you knock off the tax deductions? That's GOVERNMENT help for charities in addition to the GOVERNMENT'S OUTRIGHT GRANTS.

Estimated: $1.2 billion under Bush to CHRISTIAN faith based groups. How much of that money went directly to the programs and how much of it went into administrative salaries and nice parties?
