There are allot of overfed overindulged undereducated Americans very frightened with the effects of globalization, skyrocketing energy and health care costs.

At home they see the lives their parents and grandparents built and realize they wont likely have it as easy.

The next four years will be very difficult on the economic front IMO. Commodity costs are going to be a killer, with any luck the dollar drops steadily and maybe manufacturing makes some more headway.

But the numbers of these people who cannot maintain the upper middle class dream are climbing and will continue to do so. I live by areas where generations of families did quite well in the auto unions and these jobs are departing and they are not coming back. They have pinned their hopes on Kerry and they will continue to vote for anyone who continues to give them hope that they can bring back these jobs.
