Richard Nolle thought the election was a toss up when he made his Overall Predictions for 2004 earlier this year.

At that time, as Nolle did not know that Kerry would be confirmed as a presidential candidate, he based his predictions with reference to Bush and Howard Dean as the opposing presidential candidates. See end part of Nolle's overall prediction for 2004 at

In his November 2004 forecast which appeared this afternoon

Nolle is rather guarded in his pick for the winner.

However, my synthesis of his predictions made earlier this year and his most recent forecast with the accompanying caveats leads me to believe Kerry will be the winner. To be sure, it will not be a shoo-in for Kerry.
