It needs a delicate balance, Hui ethnic groups were known for their braveness and militant<g> in Chinese history. And HeNan does not even have a big Hui population as far as I know.

Although not until I hear from some people who presented there, I would not believe the number of deaths in that NYT report<g>. Western media are known for the exaggeration on this kind things<g>.

About two weeks ago, in WanZhou, Sichuan, there was a riot, sort of. All overseas reports said there were >10,000 were involved. But until I read something written by a person who lives in Wanzhou, and was right there when the incidence happened, and he said it was true that many people were there, but 99% were just looking, without any action. The actual number of people who joined the riot was only a couple of dozen.
