Content versus Hardware :

1st I'd define hardware as the combination of the functionality of the various radios and the OEM/retail channel deals to move the hardware.

In the 1st year or so SIRI had a content advantage because they were commercial free. After XM went commercial free the content became equal.

If my assumptions are correct than you'd have to agree that hardware has been the determining factor to date as XM now has more than a 3 to 1 lead in subscribers.

IMHO I also think that for the immediate future the OEM deals and some of the radio features(a walkman specifically) will outsell any percieved content advantage by SIRI. And don't forget that nitpicky $9.95 versus $11.95 pricing......It's amazing what $2 will do to a consumer.......

Although I think you may be accurate in your vision.......I think you awe are a bit to early in your call.

Be well,

Mike
