Chiro, how
about the fact that intc is moving into the networking arena? obviously with csco and coms there
is some competition, but will intc's foray into networking move them into a very competitive
position relative to BOTH the networkers AND the chipmeisters?

Intel, I believe, has said that their main reason for being in the networking business (network interface cards) is to push that area and try to keep it from being the bottleneck in Internet and other network computing applications. People just won't buy faster and faster computers if most of the time they sit waiting for data off the net. Another thing is that Intel and Cisco have a lot of joint developments or alliances going on. I don't think Intel will "go after" Cisco's main lines of business and therefore pi** off an ally.
