Electoral College: Bush 286 - Kerry 252

Popular Vote: Bush 50% - Kerry 49%

Senate 53 (R), 46 (D), 1 (I)

House 226 (R), 207 (D), 2 (I)

My prediction before the 2000 election is coming back to haunt me. I thought we would have a one-term presidency and here I am predicting a Bush victory. I'm picking Bush to win solely based on the fact that any incumbent President would (should) have an edge with an ongoing war. If the 2004 election was decided mostly on the economy, my 2000 prediction would be correct. No matter who wins we have a divided country at the worst possible time. If Bush thinks it's hard work now, the next four years will be agony. JMHO

IMO, this election is more of a wash with Wall Street. Gore is seen more as an incumbent and Bush has a clear record as a republican governor of Texas. The only uncertainty would be if Ralph Nader wins. -vbg-

Speculation is, Bush is ahead in the Electorate College and Nader is hurting Gore in some key states. Chances are more in favor that Gore could win the popular vote and George W. would be the next Pres. I also believe no matter who wins, we may have a one term presidency. JMO
