Right. There is mounting evidence about addictions in all arenas, even gambling--if you put them on dopamine agonists, they lose the desire to gamble.

That doesn't mean you lack responsibility and can say "hey my genes did it."

It does mean biology is complex, especially when interacting with environment, and we need to take a holistic viewpoint in these situations; if we don't understand all the variables, we won't make good decisions for others or ourselves.
