"...diet coke addict [with] osteoporosis."
What Zeev said about soft drinks containing phosphoric acid,
and calcium to be discharged, was ignored in a news story
about kids in highschool breaking bones at a rate much higher
than prior generations. The story mentioned these kids having
an availability of soft drink machines "around every corner"
that resulted in a less need for water and milk consumption,
as if the less milk drank was the reason for weak bones.
The story failed to mention that most soft drink usage has
a double negative factor, (1) not having calcium like milk,
and (2) adding phosphoric acid to a condition that the body
needs to expell it causes a calcium lost as Zeev explained.
