It is a lamentable piece. It glosses over the rational for the so-called Bush Doctrine and spends a lot of time regurgitating only the history which supports the conclusion he is trying, but fails, to make.

Podhoretz is a sell aggrandizing mouth organ, nothing more.

For real analysis of the Bush doctrine, you have to look elsewhere.
