The main things countries have going for them is their people. The Scandinavian countries have very educated workforces, a stable political situation, easy access to Europe and to the sea.

More BS.......the Scandinavian nations have some of the highest living standards in the world.

If your going to write "more BS you should refute or at least directly deal with the points you call BS. They have some of the highest living standards, the United States does as well. The living standards are high in Scandinavia but that isn't evidence that they would not be higher still with lower taxes and less socialism.

They have a level of freedom that we can only fantasize about.

They are pretty free but it silly to say that they have a level of freedom that we can only fantasize about. The US is one of the most free countries in the world, by several measures more free then the Scandinavian countries. Their greater mix of socialism reduces their freedom in the name of achieving other benefits like greater equality. Even if you think this is the right choice to make it doesn't mean there is no tradeoff.
