The main things countries have going for them is their people. The Scandinavian countries have very educated workforces, a stable political situation, easy access to Europe and to the sea. And why is that do you think? The Scandinavians have worked hard to get where they are at in spite of few resources. Its a testament to their skill and ingenuity that their economies do so well with so little to make it happen. Meanwhile, we are resource rich and we can only match them. And yet you think their way of life his horse puckey! More BS.......the Scandinavian nations have some of the highest living standards in the world. If your going to write "more BS you should refute or at least directly deal with the points you call BS. They have some of the highest living standards, the United States does as well. The living standards are high in Scandinavia but that isn't evidence that they would not be higher still with lower taxes and less socialism. And there isn't evidence that purer capitalism would make their standards higher. However, we do know that they are as competitive as the US which does much less in taking care of its citizenry. They have a level of freedom that we can only fantasize about. They are pretty free but it silly to say that they have a level of freedom that we can only fantasize about. The US is one of the most free countries in the world, by several measures more free then the Scandinavian countries. Their greater mix of socialism reduces their freedom in the name of achieving other benefits like greater equality. Right......if you are white, married with 2.3 children, have a gun and own your own business. For the rest, they fantasize about the freedoms the Swedes or Danes have. What's silly is you've bought the propaganda you've been fed all your life hook line and sinker! ted
