If NJ is truly in doubt it is because some new jerseyans will be sending a message to the corrupt local party.
Two years ago Lausenberg with the aid of the courts replaced toricelli on the ballot after the deadline for doing so had passed. This year McSleazy quit but didnt quit so the dems could appoint a hack as governor rather than have an election. Folks in NJ needed a way to get back at dems but didnt want to vote out their favorite local dems so the prez race may have attained some symbolism in this. What if its nj that gives bush the presidency. 15 votes is quite a prize. mike
