I posted here before that China already reduced their purchase of the US debt a lot (a net of $30 some billions bet. Sept. 2003 and Aug. 2004 down from $70 some billion bet. Sept. 2002 and Aug. 2003). Closed to 90% of US debt bought by its Japanese buddy<g>

As for widening the trading range, yes, that has been suggested by some think tanks in China. Who knows? In order not to let the currency traders have any chance, maybe revalue all at once is a better choice<g>, just like China devalued RMB in 1994.
