Unfortunately, not unexpected. Whatever happens, this energy will be built on. You are right about needing to keep going with alternative media and communication. I see a lot of possibilites even in this deep red state with a ground campaign. The Patriot Act should be a unifying factor for so many people. Begin against large parts of it, that is. :) It will take someone who can "preach" to reach the South, though. I don't know what it would take in the other red states. Colorado is different with Denver and Boulder. It looks good a Dem pick-up in the Senate there. That could be a decent start. It is disheartening to think we live in times when we expect a state the size of Florida, any state, to be won not by votes but by hook and crook. It won't wash this time, though.
