The Republicans have been at this for some 3 decades in schools, churches, etc. The Dems have just figured out this year that it's time to take up successful right-wing tactics: character assasination, lying, exaggerating....things are going to get increasingly ugly. The key is to get the media moving in the right direction which it has started to in small increments for the first time really this year. When the NYTimes and the WPost have to apologize for having backed the right-wing radical administration in a series of lies about an illegal war, something is seriously wrong in the media. This should worry all of us.
