When the News became a profit center for corporations, they started closing down bureaus. They're now sharing feeds from around the world which means we're getting the same viewpoint on different channels with different graphics and different talking heads. Journalism has been taken over by celebrities and personalities who wouldn't know how to investigate a story if it slapped them in the kneecaps. What are we hearing from Iraq and Afghanistan? 5 minutes every few days about a bomb going off? That's all that happens in two countries with 50 million people?
