The Democrats publicly accept the fundamental right-wing lies that underpin our imperialism. Then they suggest a milder course of action than Republicans, and they end up just looking wimpy. This election was Exhibit A of that pattern. Somehow, the war hero Kerry came off wimpier than the college cheerleader Bush. Tom
