If you insert this (Pseudo) code into the software, delivering the vote to anybody is a snap.

1. generate a random number between 1 and 10.
2. If that # is 2 or less, register the vote for my candidate.
3. Else register the real vote. </i?

In a race that is as close as this (50-50), tinkering with a 20% sample will give my candidate a 10% advantage (i.e. my candidate will win by 60-40 margin). At this scale the fraud is easy to detect.

For a 51-49 - a 1% advantage, all I need is to generate a uniform random number and multiply it with just 1. It is almost undetectable. If the test machines are different from production machines, even 50% tinkering is impossible to detect.

Given Bush's record, the result in Ohio is a major suspect.
