to the visuals, you get the added benefit of being sucked to the cavern formed by the larger than life object--this is just a theory.
in terms of astronmy, it would be something like a black hole causing the smaller planets(less dense) to spin faster and faster, closer and closer until they become engulfed by the black hole.--2nd or 3rd literary illusions may or maynot be intended
