I had that feeling too. I used to be an independent but found myself following the Republican tilt more and more. Now I'm a Republican. I have supported Democratic candidates but they have been right leaning candidates.

BTW, after Bush has now won by a mandate, not only winning by a huge popular vote but also picking up seats in the House and Senate, I think the Supreme Court will pick up some conservative judges, and there will be some real whoop ass in Iraq that will settle the problems there.
