I have no doubt you will see "RUDY!!!" (the new "LAMAR!!!") in the initial meat market in 2008. But he has a bad case of "Rocky's" Disease: No actual REPUBLICANS will vote for him in a primary. I have been watching this phenomenon since Rockefeller got clobbered by it in the 60's. Republican rank and file are BRUTAL to non-principled, media-worshipped opportunists (while Dems tend to give them a look.) Recent victims of this pure filter are Mad Cow McCain, Colin Powell, and, of course, the long-forgotten "LAMAR!!!" (trivia: He's actually a Senator from Tennessee today.). But there are several every cycle, and they all suffer the same fate...
