It's reality. It works. It's the nature of the beast. It's the inability of Kerry's campaign to come out swinging against the Swiftboaters that caused him to lose precious ground. When the Clintonites pushed the Kerry wusses aside, he started to gain. When you're dealing with the likes of Bush the sociopath then you have to WIN. WINNING IS EVERYTHING in this situation, the stakes are too high. Think about us as being the Europeans during the 30s and 40s and watching the rise of fascism. Many stood by and simply couldn't believe what they were seeing. What should they have done? The moderates and the progressives MUST WIN. That's the nature of the beast.
