It is a nice little company making good money... for now. I expect GOOG to be in serious trouble once similar search functions will be included in the next version of Windows. That didn't turn out too well for Netscape, and even if not so deadly to Google, probably will not be good news for them, either.

That is in the long term, though. In the shorter term, imho, the determining factor for GOOG price will be these shares currently under lock-up, because market ignores the above and treats GOOG as if its current high growth will go on for quite some time. I agree with you that Feb 05 will be especially interesting for GOOG, given the large number of shares being freed for sale in the market.
