Good post.

After reading Kristof and looking at a county-by-county detailed map of the total red/blue vote, I've been thinking of the Bush reelection in the sense of the triumph of the New Jacksonians, tempered to some extent by technology and education but nonetheless Jacksonian in spirit and core. A more sophisticated version, of course.

It's a thought I'd like to develop, perhaps with your help and that of my erudite friend, Neocon.
