If you don't know that the purpose of the one question rule is to protect the President from uncomfortable followups,
you are remarkably naive. Unless that was a joke. Your beginning your reply with the "idiot" insult makes me think you are proposing that seriously.

I believe he will have many more press conferences now, and it won't be because in each he can ask "more people" questions. It will be because he is at 'less risk.'

If there's no follow up, no one can ever say, "That was interesting, Mr. President, but you didn't answer the question I asked."

I wonder if any other president in history has had a blanket "one question rule," and also if they're still vetting the questions or questioners ahead of time.
