Hi again Rambi, Here's a PM I just sent. I got carried away ranting so decided to post it too, slightly edited, since it's not personal and somewhat relevant to your comments and the situation re Carole. Carole was obviously sending out a lot of ripples. Those ripples are recorded in the wave functions of consciousness. You'll see what I mean.

UW, true, it's mostly the family that's affected, but the ripples from a new life spread out right across humanity and out into the cosmos in a wave function form akin to the wave functions of each quantum entity.

Those effects can be Osama-like or Dr Irwin Jacobs-like in their good and bad consequences for the rest of us, or tiny, as with most of us, but like the butterfly taking off in the forest causing a hurricane in the Caribbean, even the least of us are creating the net effect on all others.

To mix metaphors some more, the smallest sound from a single violin string has an effect on the total sound of an orchestra and even the most important conductor is nobody without the sound of each minuscule contribution.

I'm an atheist, but I believe in the universality ideas of Christianity and that it's time to abandon the dog-eat-dog, red in tooth and claw evolutionary atavistic tribal wars of eons gone by during which we were mere geographically-based territorial defenders of alpha-male status in small tribes.

No longer are women having 10 children and only 2 can reproduce and the rest have to fall by the wayside, one way or the other, through conquest, disease, sexual rejection, accident or other failure.

There's plenty of room for everybody alive today, and more. So any fighting is a failure in relationships, not a requirement of nature, which it used to be. Megalomania, which derived from the need to be alpha male if possible, remains a genetically inbuilt hazard to modern-day life, which democracy keeps in restraint.

Unfortunately, international relations are still megalomania-based, other than the weak and badly-designed constitution of the UN. Internationally, it's still largely a dog eat dog world, despite the weak attempts after WWII to invent the UN to resolve problems, which ironically, with the creation of Israel, created a so-far intractable problem.

What's needed is a redesign of the UN into a NewUN, fit for the 21st century and the geopolitical realities of today [such as India isn't a province of the British Empire and Germany and Japan aren't militaristic maniacs and should have full standing according to their populations and financial support].

It's all on Jake's shoulders. I hope he's up to it. He only has to put out the right ripples, in harmony with those from the billions of others, and the whole world's orchestra could play celestially delightful music, fit for humans. That would be far more pleasant that the screams from those having their heads hacked off in horrific genocidal tribal warfare.

Poor little Jake, doesn't know what he's in for!

When Tarken was a little guy, I nicknamed him "little friend of all the world" as that's how he seemed. Still does. I hope Jake chooses that way too, rather than Osama's way. I'm optimistic.

So it's true as you say that our little tribal eddy in the swirl of humanity has received a gift, but I think, he's a gift to everyone. You must be surprised I'm not a Christian, but an atheist. Christians don't have a monopoly on ideas.

Physicists haven't figured it out yet, but they are on the trail, that observers create reality by making wave functions drop into an objective state. A photon can be in any state, up until the observer observes. There's something going on and it's suspiciously like consciousness is a law of physics, waiting for its own wave functions to be defined. We're living in a hall of mirrors, which each reflection creating the reality of the reflection of the other consciousness - or something like that. Would you like some more metaphors, or is that enough for one day?

Anyway, she'll be right, Jake's me mate. [Kiwiisms]

Meanwhile, how about you do some ripples of your own and get newly-reincarnated King George II to get that NUN organized before the opportunity slips through your fingers. The USA has achieved the ability to do it. A dog eat dog world is NOT in the USA's long term interests though while being the Big Dog it might seem a tempting evil to follow. Now is the time to make the change. Just do it! [to coin a phrase].

King George II could be the greatest president ever. It's within his grasp. He needs only to separate good from evil, see the light, abjure short-sighted greed, be led not into temptation.

Phew, that's a mouthful. I rest my case. Now for a glass of home-squeezed grapefruit juice on yet another great summery day.

PS: Dr Irwin Jacobs. qualcomm.com. They don't mention it there, but he's a really good bloke too. Jewish at that. It seems a bit weird that Christians have a bit of a thing about Jews [especially as the original was one]. Imagine if we had a world of Irwins and no Osamas. Okay, that Clonesville might be a bit weird, but you know what I mean. Maybe too, Osama has his place and did good stuff - helping roll back a conquering USSR dominance hierarchy, and he has some valid points about the way the Middle East is run. But he's another of the same ilk - he's the alpha male and will kill anyone who doesn't go along with what he says Allah wants.
