Thx, Cirrus. I'm convinced you'll find the next 4yrs more to your liking, since Pres Bush will not be under pressure to keep his entire voting base intact in order to win reelection. GW is now free to enact the compassionate conservative agenda that was his first instinct. My primary concern of course was to keep a steady hand on the terrorists, but I'm especially pleased as well that GW can now focus on his educational reform proposals. No Child Left Behind is already raising basic performance levels in public elementary schools. Drawing from today's press conference I believe Pres Bush will also focus on cutting the federal deficit during next 4 yrs. His reelection frees Pres Bush to move forward without political considerations with those programs most Americans consider best for the USA in general, like preserving the Social Security System for our children.
Of course, major changes hinge on congress' cooperation, so it will be interesting to see whether or not election results will foster bipartisanship.
