That is a very complicated question but I will do my best with a concise reply.

The problem I have and also a question for Republicans is how do you take the high road on morale conscience at the same time supporting an incumbent who has lied to his countrymen about the reasons for starting a preemptive war?

The question about whether or not Bush has lied to his countrymen has been raised and serious allegations have been cast as well as numerous conspiracy theories, innuendos and rumors. However, no conclusive prove has ever been established that Bush lied to us about anything. So this part of the question is unqualified.

War, in case you are not aware, is considered morally questionable even when one is "in the right".

What moral question do you have?

Mainly because most of the time the innocent civilians ( aka actually born children) suffer the most.

All beings suffer as a result of their associations with other beings and for lack of proper association for that matter. The moral question centers around whether innocent beings are being targeted in the act of war and whether reasonable measures are taken to avoid unnecessary suffering by innocents while engaging in acts of war.

A leader who engages the country's valuable resources of troops and materials to start a war on a whim of rumors and dishonorable spin, then take no blame when things go wrong, are not my idea of moral values.

There is a difference between taking 'blame' and owning up to one's responsibilities. It might be worth our while to explore that difference be for making harsh judgements.

How does the superior, upright, morally pure Republican mind reconcile?

I have never registered Republican, and even if I did, I would only want to speak for my own conscience.
