It's true that Johnson did some decent things. But if you were opposed to the war and spent long hard years resisting it and you watched dear friends drafted and killed, villages torched and Vietnam leveled -- Johnson, Bundy, Rusk, McNamara and the rest of the best and the brightest were fit only for the ugliest circle of hell. Nixon, Kissinger and the successor regime joined them.
That said, Bush will eventually trump them.
