Although I wouldn't say NEVER, but I strongly agree with you. I don't think it will happen in my life time anyway...

In last count, in past 200 years there have been something like 200 attempt in congress to amend or abolish EC, but never once even passed the House floor...

I can live with EC, I'll just move back to Republican state. Then my democrate neighber's vote will convert to Republic vote in EC. That will make me feel good! ;0)
