My former bro-in-law had a similar situation when he was in school. He was always about 5 yrs bigger in size than his peers. His mother preached to him all of his kid years that he must not ever hit anyone smaller than him. He took it to heart and couldn't even bring himself to slam into a tackling dummy or attempt to tackle or block opposing players because his mother's orders burned into his brain. He just gave up on all sports as a result. As a H.S. freshman he was 6'-2" and 240 lbs of muscle. A coaches dream prospect by just looking at him, but a real disappointment when he tried out. He is one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet who wasn't gay. One time I know of that he lost control. His wife was being hassled by some really stupid guy. Barry showed up and told the guy to back off, the guy wouldn't back off. So Barry arranged in about 5 seconds to have the idiot carried off instead, much like you would carry out a bag of garbage. As far as I know, that was the only time he ever struck anyone in anger. He kept his muscle as an adult and even added to it, he got to 6'-4" and 270 lbs of muscle when he joined his dad's plumber's union and because of his size and status as an apprentice, ended up carrying on his back toilets and even bathtubs, etc up as many as 14 stories of apartment buildings being built. The incredible Hulk was an infrequently used nickname for him.
