What Thomas is saying is that, if any state chooses to amend it's constitution to allow the state legislature to declare a state religion... and use taxes to fund it, and require citizens to attend services... and so on... it can... because the U.S. Constitution refers to "Congress" and not the states? And you agree with that? You're going to rip up freedom and let state legislatures do whatever they want?

The U.S. Constitution has been the supreme law of the land for two centuries - and the principle that the state legislatures as well as the U.S. Congress must abide by it's provisions is one of the earliest intepretations, and you and Thomas are ready to erase that?

All I can say is that hundreds of thousands have fought and died for the freedoms we enjoy and you are willing to erase them to feed a parochial interest and a "narrow interpretation" of the constitution?

I'm in shock. Is nothing sacred?
