Sorry, but it's been long known that social security has troubles down the road. Long known, like 20 years.

The baby boomer generation is not a new invention. We've known about the baby boom for a loooong time. Anyone that can do simple math can determine that when a huge segment of the population retired, the remaining workers would have trouble supporting the retired people.

Government forecasters were able to calculate the approximate severity and timing of this problem even before there were calculators.
