1354 GMT [Dow Jones] The more details you look at the better this report looks. Job gains were widespread among industries with the notable exception of mfg (-5K), big gains in construction (+71K) maybe rebuilding, and in business services (+97K), and state and local govt education (+43K). Diffusion index showed that 65.6% of firms hired in Oct. The jobless rate was 5.4596% before rounding from 5.4264% in Sept. Most unemployed were job losers (+80K) and new entrants (+56K).(JJM)
