I don't think you took the time to analyze what BUsh said yesterday about his victory. He did not get a mandate like Reagan or Clinton got for their second term.

I sure do hope that you posted this before even reading what Sen. Arlen Specter said about the Bush victory. This nation is avery divided nation. Bush sounded very Hitleristic yesterday. Let us not forget that there was the entire German nation that backed Hitler. It was only when the world rose up against the German nation that those fascist voices were silenced. Iran is going to go full blast to become nuclear, North Korea has already thumbed its nose at the US. And we will wait to see how Zig Zag Zell explains to us all that his grandchildren will be safer in the world of tomorrow..

OBL wanted the election to go exactly like this. He knows that with Bush in the WH, this nation will remain isolated in the world. That this nation with Bush in the WH would put all its efforts and resources in the guerrilla war and in the process would destroy its economic backbone. THat with Bush in the WH, OBL would manage to be the center of attention and not the cause of Bush's success. The fact that he has not been able to capture OBL, is indicative of the support that OBL has among some of the nations in the world. The downfall of its economic might has already begun with the high oil prices and the outflow of US capital to the oil-rich Arab countries.
