I guess I should be thankful that I'm only paying the 6% and not the excessive 12.5% that you must pay. TH, employers look at total compensation for employees..(which includes the 'employers' portion of the SS/Medicare tax AND other benefits) you are indeed paying the full tax, whether or not you see it on your paystub
