Lindy,

1) US corporations will have to comply with Kyoto in their foreign operations, now that Russia has ratified the treaty.

2) Kyoto ratification plus next week's Arctic impact report will raise the profile of the global warming issue. May lead to international talks to fix the flawed Kyoto treaty, but I doubt anything will be accomplished until there is a crisis.

3) I expect a crisis, but the timing is hard to predict. It may be sooner than people think. Things are getting weird in the Arctic.

4) One tidbit you'll probably relish: some are starting to blame global warming on the Greens because of their opposition to nuclear power. Oh, the irony!
