Get this... I called up ETrade to order my new certs today. I got a great lady who knew about certs and who told me there was no way to speed it up. She said there was no record of my previous large order of certs, but that this didn't mean anything... I'm gettin' weirded out. She called me back 10 minutes later at work. "I can give you your certs in 3 days!" I said, "You're kiddin'! How?" She said do a DTC to another brokerage. I told her that the other staff had told me that couldn't be done. I called up Waterhouse (where I began switching accounts Monday). They said, "Well you can have them sent here but it'll still take 3-4 weeks to get the certs." At this point, I just want to get out of ETrade so I just said, "Do it." I had to fax a DTC request with Waterhouse's DTC number, my new account number, etc... A new story every day. E*Trade. Amazin'....
